Kierra and Domonique are an engaged couple who want to take their relationship to the next level, but when Kierra decides to move in with her ailing grandmother Sophie, plans to bring a child into the world are suddenly placed on hold. Sophie's Sweet 16 is about 2 lost souls, who unexpectedly confide in each other while trying to find comfort rather than a home.

What is R&D?
...Ours stands for Reading & Drinking!...

R&D is a free, informal gathering of artists invited to have a (totally optional) drink or two while volunteer performers read new works/ works-in-progress by independent playwrights. Past R&D pieces have ranged from short plays, one-acts, full lengths, to musical excerpts. Our free developmental reading series creates a laid-back environment for hearing pieces aloud while offering an opportunity for feedback.

Are you a playwright with a new/developing piece you wanna hear out loud (but aren't trying to drain your own resources $$$ to put up a reading on your own)? Let us do it! Submit your works for consideration for R & D! All lengths and genres accepted.
