Chloe Coleman has 635,000 followers on Instagram and at least 12,000 haters on a subreddit dedicated to following her every move. After learning she’s feeding her cat a vegan diet, a group of her most vocal critics hatch a plot to kidnap the pet at his first birthday party. The catnappers attempt to blackmail Chloe into deleting her Instagram, but will they truly be better off without her? What follows is a terminally online fantasy featuring pet psychics, militant PETA factions, morally dubious podcast hosts, and espresso martinis. Can any of us ever log off for good?

What is R&D?
...Ours stands for Reading & Drinking!...

R&D is a free, informal gathering of artists invited to have a (totally optional) drink or two while volunteer performers read new works/ works-in-progress by independent playwrights. Past R&D pieces have ranged from short plays, one-acts, full lengths, to musical excerpts. Our free developmental reading series creates a laid-back environment for hearing pieces aloud while offering an opportunity for feedback.

Are you a playwright with a new/developing piece you wanna hear out loud (but aren't trying to drain your own resources $$$ to put up a reading on your own)? Let us do it! Submit your works here for consideration for an R&D session! All lengths and genres accepted.
